Flights into Southern Florida were disrupted Thursday when a power problem at the Miami Terminal Radar Approach Control resulted in radar issues in the area.

The radar problem impacted multiple airports including Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Miami International Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop at the airports around 11:45 a.m.

Although the ground stop was lifted and flights were beginning to return to normal as of 12:30 p.m., some departures have been delayed up to an hour and a half.
