Xiamen Airlines Launches Xiamen-Vancouver Route

DSC_0362Xiamen Airlines announced the launch of new service between Xiamen, China, and Vancouver, Canada. The carrier will operate the service three times a week, using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Flights will depart Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport at 9:30 p.m. and arrive at Vancouver International Airport at 6:40 p.m. From Vancouver, flights are scheduled to depart at 1:40 a.m. and arrive in Xiamen at 5:30 a.m. the next day.

Xiamen’s Boeing 787-8s are equipped with four lie-flat seats in first class, 18 seats in business class, and 215 in economy class.

The new route is the airline’s first service to North America. This September, Xiamen plans to begin flights to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
