JetBlue Reports Higher Load Factor and Traffic for June

IMGP5613 (1)JetBlue Airways announced operational results for the month of June 2016.

The New York-based airline reported that its June traffic rose by 11.6% to 3.95 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, from 3.53 billion in June 2015, on a capacity increase of 10.5% to 4.59 billion available seat miles, or ASMs.

The carrier also said that its load factor for June was up 0.9 percentage points to 86.2% compared to the same period in 2015.

JetBlue said it carried 3.29 million passengers in June, a 10.4% increase over the same period last year, and recorded 28,686 departures, a 7.1% increase. Its preliminary completion factor was 99.1% and its on-time performance was 74.4%. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile, or RASM, in June decreased by approximately 4.5%.
