Coffee, tea, or fries? Starting July 1, passengers on board some Brussels Airlines flights may be asked just that. The Belgian flag carrier is adding fries to its in-flight menu, accompanied by a choice of mayo or ketchup.

Frites (in French) or Frieten (Dutch) are the national snack and a major component in several national dishes including Moules-frites, mussels and fries.

The Belgian fries will be offered on all European flights lasting over two hours.

The airline plans to add Belgian waffles to the in-flight menu once all the fries are gone.
