Qatar Airways announced the launch of new daily, non-stop service between Atlanta and Doha.

The airline will operate the service using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, although it operated its inaugural flight with an Airbus A380. The Doha-based carrier filled 517 seats on the first flight, the capacity for the plane.

Flights will depart Doha’s Hamad International Airport at 9:05 a.m. and arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport at 4:55 p.m. From Atlanta, flights are scheduled to depart at 7:25 p.m. and arrive back in Doha at 4:15 p.m. the next day.

Qatar Airways’ 777-200LRs are equipped with 42 fully lie-flat seats in business class and 217 economy seats.  The business-class cabin has seats arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration, and each seat is 22” wide and expands into a bed 78” long.
