Delta to Begin JFK-Glasgow Service

DSC_0723Delta Air Lines announced plans to launch new daily, non-stop service between New York and Glasgow, Scotland on May 25, 2017. The announcement comes just two weeks after the airline began flights between New York and Edinburgh.

The service will be operated in conjunction with Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Flights are scheduled to depart New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport at 11:45 p.m. and arrive at Glasgow Airport at 11:25 a.m. the next day. Flights from Glasgow to New York will depart at 1 p.m. and arrive at 3:40 p.m. the same day.

Delta will operate the service using Boeing 757-200ER aircraft, configured with 16 seats in business class, 25 seats in Delta Comfort+, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 130 seats in economy. Seats in business class have a pitch of 54” to 55” and a width of 21”.

The new route will be the only non-stop between JFK and Glasgow.
