ANA Mileage Club to Recognize Same-Sex Partnerships
All Nippon Airways announced that it will make its ANA Mileage Club frequent flyer program more gay friendly.
The carrier said that it will allow members of ANA Mileage Club in same-sex relationships to share miles from their partners.
A member can also inherit miles from his partner in the event of his partner’s death.
ANA also said it plans to re-label some toilet facilities at its lounges in Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita, and Osaka Itami airports so they may be used by members of either sex.
Additionally, the carrier plans to offer a variety of employee initiatives that support diversity in the workplace, including an expansion of such as a new consultation service for LGBT employees, and an expanded program for the awareness and education about LGBT issues.
