Alaska Airlines Begins Service to Orange County and San Diego from San Jose
Alaska Airlines announced the launch of new service between San Jose and both Orange County/Santa Ana and San Diego, California. Additionally, the airline said that it plans to begin new non-stop seasonal service between San Diego and Hayden/Steamboat Springs, Colorado this winter.
Flights from San Jose to Orange County will depart daily at 2:05 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. and will arrive at 3:20 p.m. and 7:40 p.m., respectively. Flights from Orange County will depart at 4 p.m. and 8:20 p.m., arriving back in San Jose at 5:10 p.m. and 9:31 p.m.
Flights between San Jose and San Diego will depart San Jose daily at 4:20 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., as well as an extra seasonal flight at 12:15 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays, and will arrive at 5:47 p.m., 9:57 p.m., and 1:42 p.m., respectively. Flights from San Diego to San Jose are scheduled to depart at 12 noon and 6:30 p.m., with the additional seasonal flights on Fridays and Sundays departing at 2 p.m., with scheduled arrival times of 1:23 p.m., 7:53 p.m., and 3:44 p.m.
The extra seasonal flights will operate through August 26 of this year.
The new flights will be operated by SkyWest Airlines, using Embraer E175 jets equipped with 12 seats in first class, 12 seats in economy plus, and 52 seats in economy.
Alaska’s new service to Hayden/Steamboat Springs will be offered on Tuesdays and Fridays between December 17, 2016 and March 25, 2017. Flights will depart San Diego at 9:55 a.m. and arrive at 1:07 p.m. Return flights will depart at 1:45 p.m. and arrive at 3:06 p.m.
