Russia’s Aeroflot Group announced operating results for the month of May 2016.

The group, which includes subsidiaries Donavia, Rossiya Airlines, Orenair, and Aurora, reported it had 3.5 million passengers in May, an 8.8% year-over-year increase, while Aeroflot – Russian Airlines reported 2.4 million, a 12.4% increase.

The group’s and airline’s RPKs, or revenue passenger kilometers, were up by 12% and by 12.5% respectively. ASKs, or available seat kilometers, increased by 8.3% for Aeroflot Group while Aeroflot – Russian Airlines was up by 10.1%.

The group’s load factory increased by 2.5 percentage points to 78.2% while Aeroflot – Russian Airlines’ load factor was up by 1.8 percentage points to 78.4%.
