DSC_1474Boeing announced that it received an order for 100 737 Max 200 aircraft from VietJet Air, a low-cost Vietnamese airline.

The order, valued at approximately $11.3 billion at current list prices, is the largest in Vietnamese aviation history.

VietJet is scheduled to take delivery of the planes between 2019 and 2023.

The Boeing 737 Max 200 is a variant of the 737 Max 8, and can be configured to accommodate up to 200 passengers.  The single-aisle aircraft will provide up to 5% lower operating costs than the 737 Max 8.

More than 60 customers worldwide have ordered over 3,090 Boeing 737 Max aircraft to date.
