DSC_0819The union representing pilots at Southwest Airlines said that its members would picket outside the airline’s annual shareholders meeting next Wednesday.

The move is intended to show the pilots’ displeasure in not yet having a new contract after four years of negotiations with the company, the Southwest Airlines Pilots’ Association in a statement.

“Four years, particularly during a time of record profits, is far too long for a company known for its “LUV” to not provide a worthy contract offer to its operational front-line leaders – the pilots,” the union said.

The shareholders meeting will place at the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago.

Pilots also plan to picket at Midway Airport after the meeting.
