British Airways Launches Daily A380 Service Between London and Vancouver

DSC_0105British Airways announced the launch of Airbus A380 service on its route between London Heathrow and Vancouver. The airline will offer daily service between the two airports, and the one A380 flight replaces the carrier’s previous twice-daily service that was operated using Boeing 747-400s.

The service marks the first time that the A380 is being used on commercial flights into and out of Vancouver International Airport.

British Airway’s daily London-Vancouver flights on the A380 depart London at 5:15 p.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 6:40 p.m. From Vancouver, flights are scheduled to depart at 8:45 p.m. and arrive in London at 2 p.m. the following day.

The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest passenger plane. British Airways’ A380s are outfitted with 469 seats across two decks and four cabins.  The first-class cabin has 14 suites, each with fully lie-flat seats with a seat pitch of 78”.  The Club World business-class cabin has 97 fully lie-flat seats in a forwards-backwards configuration, all with a seat pitch of 72”.  The World Traveller Plus premium economy section accommodates 55 passengers and there are 303 seats in coach.
