All Nippon Airways said it will launch new non-stop service from both New York and Chicago to Tokyo Haneda Airport on October 30 this year.

Japan’s transport ministry awarded ANA four takeoff and landing slots, three of which are daytime slots, on April 26. The airline will use the slots for the new daytime flights to John F. Kennedy International Airport and Chicago’s O’Hare

Once the new flights begin, ANA will offer service to five North American cities from Haneda, including Los Angeles, Honolulu, and Vancouver.

In other news, the airline announced that it will launch new non-stop service from Tokyo Narita to Mexico City in February of 2017. The route will be the first daily non-stop service between Mexico and Japan.
