Alaska and Japan Airlines Launch New Partnership

DSC_0333Alaska Airlines announced that it will begin a new codeshare agreement with Japan Airlines on June 29. The two will codeshare on various routes, while members of each airline’s loyalty program will be able to earn miles on flights of the other.

Beginning June 29,, Alaska Airlines will be able to place its code on JAL flights from the Japanese carrier’s North American gateway cities of San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver.

Additionally, JAL will codeshare on Alaska-operated feeder flights across California, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington.

Passengers of both airlines will also be able to earn miles on flights operated by the other.
