Ritz-Carlton announced the opening of a new property in Hungary. The Ritz-Carlton, Budapest is the first of the company’s hotels located in the country.

Situated on Elizabeth Square, the hotel is housed in a protected historic building, originally erected in 1914 as the headquarters for an Italian insurance company, and offers views of St. Stevens Basilica. The property offers 170 guestrooms and 30 suites, each with a marble bathroom and heated floor.

Guests can dine at the hotel’s Deak St. Kitchen, which offers a variety of Hungarian cuisine. Additionally, the Kupola Lounge, overlooking the hotel lobby, serves breakfast and lunch and.

The property provides five meeting rooms, as well as a ballroom that can accommodate up to 180 guests. The hotel also hosts a 24-hour fitness center, and a spa with an indoor pool and three treatment rooms.
