DSC_0370 (1)Marriott International said it is launching Marriott Rewards Member Rates on April 11. The program is designed to provide members of the hotel’s guest loyalty program with the “very best” price for a room.

Member Rates are available via the hotelier’s website, smartphone app, call center, and certain corporate travel agents.   If a member finds a better rate within 24 hours of making a reservation, the hotel will not only match the lower rate but also provide a 25% discount.

With the program, Marriott wants to “dispel the myth that other travel websites offer better rates for our hotels,” said Karin Timpone, the company’s global marketing officer. “You will find the lowest rates across our portfolio when you join Marriott Rewards and book direct.”

Joining Marriott Rewards is free and no status is required to take advantage of Member Rates. Members also receive complimentary Wi-Fi at Marriott properties.

Marriott Rewards Member Rates are available at over 4,200 participating Marriott properties worldwide.
