DSC_0016 (1)Delta Air Lines said Friday it will partner with Clear, a company that provides expedited access to airport security checkpoints. The two plan to add ClearLanes, as they are called, at additional major airports, starting with major Delta hubs.

Clear promises no more than a five minute wait at a security checkpoint. The company uses biometrics including fingerprint and iris identification technology to confirm a traveler’s identity at its checkpoints.

Delta will provide complimentary membership in Clear to Diamond Medallion-level SkyMiles members, and discounts to other SkyMiles members.

The Atlanta-based carrier has ten domestic hubs including Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County, Los Angeles International, Minneapolis-St. Paul International, Salt Lake City International, John F. Kennedy International and LaGuardia airports.
