PSA Peugeot Citroën is planning to return to the U.S. market after an absence of over 40 years.

The French automaker would launch its premium and newly separate DS lineup at the time of its return and plans to make an announcement on April 5. The news was first reported in Automobile magazine.

Citroën recently launched in China and would likely bring a similar lineup of vehicles to the United States, including the DS4 four-door hatchback, the Crossback crossover, the DS5 four-door hatch, the DS 5LS sedan, and the DS6 crossover. The DS vehicles are available in Europe in both diesel and petrol powered versions.

Citroën first announced in 2014 it would create the separate DS brand as a premium lineup and has long discussed plans to restart sales in North America.
