Air Canada to Begin Non-Stop Vancouver-Delhi Route

DSC_0553 (1)Air Canada announced that it plans to launch new seasonal flights between Vancouver and Delhi, India on October 20. The carrier will operate the service three times a week through April 8, 2017, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

Flights are scheduled to depart Vancouver International Airport at 9:20 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1:20 a.m. two days later. From Delhi, flights will depart at 6:30 a.m. on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving back in Vancouver at 6:55 a.m. the same day.

Air Canada’s 787-9 Dreamliners are equipped with 30 fully lie-flat seats in business class, 21 seats in premium economy, and 247 seats in economy.  Seats in business class are arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, each with direct aisle access, and have a bed length of 80” and a width of 21”.

The new service will be the only non-stop route between Vancouver and Delhi. The flights will complement Air Canada’s service between Toronto and Delhi, which began last fall.
