Xiamen Airlines to Launch First Route to North America with Flights to Vancouver

Xiamen Airlines announced that it plans to launch new service between Xiamen, China and Vancouver, Canada on July 25 this year. The carrier will operate the service three times a week, using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Flights are scheduled to depart Vancouver International Airport at 1:45 a.m. and arrive at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport at 5:30 a.m. the next day. From Xiamen, flights will depart at 8:30 p.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 6:40 p.m.

The airline’s 787-8 Dreamliners are equipped with four seats in first class, 18 in business class, and 215 in economy class.

The service is subject to regulatory and government approval. If approved, the route will be Xiamen Airlines’ first service to North America.

Vancouver will be the carrier’s 73rd destination.
