United Launches San Francisco-Tel Aviv Route
United Airlines announced the launch of new service on Wednesday between San Francisco and Tel Aviv, Israel. The carrier will operate the route three times a week, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Flights will depart San Francisco International Airport at 8:00 p.m. local time on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv at 8:10 p.m. the next day. From Tel Aviv, flights will depart at 12:55 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in San Francisco at 6:00 a.m. the same day.
United’s 787-9s are equipped with 48 lie-flat seats in business class, 88 seats in economy plus, and 116 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 22” wide, and have a bed length of 78”.
The airline says that it will use Boeing 777 aircraft on the route for several weeks in June and July.
United also offers service to Tel Aviv from its hub in Newark.
