South African Airways, JetBlue Add Accra Flights to Codeshare Agreement

DSC_0121South African Airways announced an expansion of its codeshare agreement with JetBlue Airways on Thursday.

JetBlue will now be able to place its code on South African Airways’ flights between Washington Dulles International Airport and Accra, Ghana. Accra is the seventh African destination that South African Airways and JetBlue offer codeshare flights to.

South African Airways operates flights between Washington Dulles and Accra four times a week. Flights depart Washington Dulles at 5:40 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and arrive at Accra’s Kotoka International Airport at 8:40 a.m. the following day. From Accra, flights depart at 11:55 p.m. o Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and arrive at Washington Dulles at 6:15 a.m. a day later.

Members of JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program are also able to earn miles on all South African Airways-operated flights across the world.
