Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts announced that it is introducing five new benefits for its Golden Circle loyalty program members in honor of the program’s fifth anniversary.

The first, which Shangri-La calls multiple room earning, allows members of the program to earn award points on up to three rooms when traveling with family members or business associates and booking rooms at a qualifying rate.

Another new benefit makes members eligible to earn a qualifying night and stay toward their Golden Circle status when they redeem a free night using award points. Additionally, Jade and diamond Golden Circle members will now have rollover nights, in that surplus qualifying nights for status renewal or membership upgrade can be carried forward for the following membership year.

Members are also now able to buy or gift their points. Shangri-La is selling points in 100 point increments at $13 per 100, and members can buy up to 6,000 points in a calendar year.

Lastly, members can use award points to dine at participating Shangri-La, Kerry, Hotel Jen, and Traders hotels worldwide.

In addition to the new benefits, Golden Circle members will receive double points when dining at the any of its hotel restaurants Monday through Friday, between April 1 and June 30 of this year, when they register for the promotion beforehand.
