New Canopy by Hilton to Open in London

Hilton announced that it plans to open a new Canopy by Hilton hotel in London in early 2018. The Canopy by Hilton London City will be the first of the brand’s properties to be located in the United Kingdom.

The hotel will have the brand’s Canopy Central a ground-floor lobby designed to reflect the neighborhood. Guests will be able to dine at the property’s restaurant, as well as its rooftop bar, and avail themselves of a fitness center and various meeting and event rooms.

A welcome gift, inspired by the city of London, will be presented to guests upon arrival.

The hotel will be located at 16 Minories, adjacent to the historic Roman and medieval city walls. London’s East End is a 20-minute walk from the property.

Hilton announced the launch of the new brand in late 2014. The first Canopy by Hilton hotel is scheduled to open this summer in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Hilton has said that its Canopy brand will incorporate five main elements into the design of each hotel, namely: great neighborhoods, market-driven approach, comfort and design, more included value, and a “positively yours” culture.  Canopy by Hilton hotels will offer local food and drinks at each property, as well as art from the respective local areas, and Hilton says that “no two Canopy hotels will be the same.”
