IHG to Open InterContinental Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria

InterContinental Hotels Group announced that it will open a new InterContinental property in Sofia, Bulgaria next year. The hotelier plans to renovate an existing hotel that will reopen as the InterContinental Sofia upon completion. The new property will be managed by InterHotel Grand – Hotel Sofia.

The hotel will have 182 guestrooms, as well as seven meeting rooms and five boardrooms. A spa and fitness center will also be located on the premises.

Guests will be able to dine at a rooftop restaurant, as well as the hotel’s lobby bar.

The new InterContinental will overlook the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, and is close to many attractions including Sofia’s National Theatre. It is close to the city’s
