Hyatt Debuts Unbound Collection of Independent Hotels
Hyatt Hotels debuted a new brand, the Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
The Unbound Collection will include a group of higher-end properties with a “distinct character” and individual identity that it will retain while participating in Hyatt’s guest loyalty program and reservations network.
One of the first hotels to become part of the Unbound Collection was the Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas.
The brand will offer guests “one-of-a-kind experiences,” said Mark Hoplamazian, the hotelier’s CEO.
Other hotels in the collection include the Hôtel du Louvre in Pari and the Carmelo Resort & Spa in Carmelo, Uruguay. The Coco Palms Resort in Kauai, Hawaii will reopen as a part of the collection in 2018 after a complete renovation. The Coco Palms closed after it sustained significant damage from Hurricane Iniki in 1992.
