Delta to Begin Los Angeles-Beijing Route

DSC_4940Delta Air Lines announced that it will launch new daily, non-stop service between Los Angeles and Beijing on December 16. The service is pending government approval.

Flights are scheduled to depart Los Angeles International Airport at 12:30 p.m. and arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport at 5:45 p.m. the next day. From Beijing, flights will depart at 7:30 p.m. and arrive back in Los Angeles at 3:45 p.m.

Delta will operate the route using Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. The planes are equipped with 291 seats, including 37 lie-flat seats in Delta One, 36 seats in Delta Comfort+, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 218 seats in economy. Seats in Delta One are 21” wide and have a pitch 78”.

Delta’s new service to Beijing will complement its flights to the Chinese capital from Seattle and Detroit. With the addition of its Los Angeles-Beijing route, the carrier will operate 21 weekly flights to the city.
