IMGP5618 (1)Delta Air Lines announced that it signed a new codeshare agreement with Transavia, a subsidiary of KLM. The agreement is still pending government approval.

Under the new agreement, Delta will be able to place its code on ten Transavia flights from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, including to four destinations not currently offered by the carrier, namely Seville and Alicante, Spain; Thessaloniki, Greece; and Marrakech, Morocco.

Additional codeshare destinations will include Barcelona, Malaga, Valencia, and Ibiza, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; and Casablanca, Morocco. These Transavia flights will be in addition to Delta’s current offerings to the cities.

Members of Delta’s SkyMiles loyalty program will be able to earn and redeem miles on the new codeshare routes.

Transavia was founded in 1966 and has its main base at Amsterdam Schiphol. The airline offers service to over 110 destinations throughout Europe and North Africa.
