Wyndham announced the launch of its new hotel-themed sitcom series, “Have Points, Will Travel.”

The series revolves around a young married couple as they travel south along the west coast of the United States “with only the clothes on their backs and one million Wyndham Rewards points to get them there.”

Newlyweds Dean and Traci, portrayed by Stephen Visocan and Rachel Adams, start their voyage in an unknown location with only their loyalty points and are told that they may keep the points they don’t use at the end.

Wyndham’s justification for the series was simple: “It’s no secret that in-room hotel TV programming is boring,” said Noah Brodsky, the chain’s senior vice president of loyalty and engagement. “Most people tune it out or click it off.”  The hotelier believes that “Have Points, Will Travel” will get travelers to turn their sets on again to watch this.

The show will have a phased distribution to over 7,500 properties that participate in Wyndham Rewards around the world.
