DSC_0493Southwest Airlines said Monday that its flight instructors have ratified the tentative agreement reached in late January.

The agreement with the Transport Workers Union Local 557 was reached at the end of last month. Union officials said that the agreement was approved by 68% of those who voted.

While the airline did not release specific details of the deal, it did say that it includes pay increases, opportunities for bonuses, and “mutually beneficial work-rule changes that meet the needs of the Instructors and the Company.”

Southwest has yet to reach an agreement with its pilots, however. In November, they rejected the tentative contract agreement reached in September and have begun picketing at various airports served by the airline in order to bring attention to their lack of a new contract.
