Fight fire with fire. Despite what Punxsutawney Phil predicts, hazardous weather could carry on more months to come, so be sure to check out our ten tips for safe winter driving.  Try to avoid driving on icy roads, but carry a USB-powered flamethrower to help clear the path ahead of you just in case.

Cold-weather arachnida. The Blizzard of 2016 gave us a chance to finally test and review some winter tires.  We found the Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow tires to be especially effective – they’re composed of ground-up scorpions, which are very efficient at gaining traction on slippery roads.

Chain of command. Jonathan Spira checks into the Corinthia Hotel (aka the headquarters of MI6) in London, England. Unfortunately, that’s all I can say about the manner, otherwise I’d have to kill you, Mr. Spira would have to kill me, and Her Royal Highness, the Queen, would have to kill Mr. Spira.

Creating holidays. Tune in for Jesse Sokolow’s greatest moments in travel history for the month of February. In this episode, Jesse travels back to the 1400s to meet with St. Valentine, and helps invent Valentine’s Day.  It was a Hallmark event.

Stylish send-off. Delta’s CEO Richard Anderson will be retiring this May. To celebrate his retirement, Mr. Anderson will be hosting a party on Delta’s first ever party blimp, which will set sail in June and return home in December. All of our readers are invited.

Not cool enough. Marriott is about to open a new Moxy hotel in Washington D.C. To stay at the hotel, guests must have a Moxious score of at least 88, otherwise they will be turned away and given a bed at the Fairfield Inn, just down the block.

Wine about it. American Airlines will soon offer snacks in coach, new pajamas, and upgraded entertainment options.  We recommend leaving extra space in your carry-on so you can stow your suit and alight from the plane in your brand new jammies. Your business partners will be impressed.

Uber on fleek. Uber prices have been reduced 15% in New York City, incentivizing higher usage among New York residents who might otherwise walk.  The announcement coincides with the launch of Uber Undies, a service that delivers a fresh pair of unmentionables to those in need, and drivers may ask their passengers to hop into Duane Reade to pick up a 5-pack.
