Corinthia Hotel London, England – Review
My visit was also my first encounter with a Hypnos bed and I quickly became a fan. I woke up feeling revitalized and wondered about purchasing one for home.
The room’s amenities included a Nespresso coffee maker and a comfortable bench at the foot of the bed, perfect for undressing without messing up the bed. A padded armchair was on the window side of the room while a round table with two side chairs abutted the inside wall.
The Italian marble bathroom – with underfloor heating – was larger than some Manhattan apartments and featured a separate stall shower and soaking tub. A toilet and bidet were together behind a separate door. Counter space was plentiful.
ROAD WARRIOR SUPPORT
My room featured what the hotel refers to as a circular desk (it’s really a round table) with two non-ergonomic arm chairs. The desk itself was fine for working but the chairs were intended more for meetings or in-room dining and, as such, were not suitable for sitting at a keyboard and writing.
Internet was complimentary and extremely fast. The room had British, European, and U.S. outlets easily accessible and I had no problem keeping my devices charged.
WELLNESS
The Corinthia’s location – near the Thames and Charing Cross Station – make it easy to take enjoyable strolls around town. For those who prefer an indoor workout, a fitness center and pool are available.
