American Airlines announced it will temporarily close its Arrivals Lounge at London Heathrow for a major overhaul.

The lounge, located in Heathrow’s Terminal 3, currently offers arriving passengers amenities including breakfast, shower suites, Wi-Fi, clothes pressing service, and a variety of beverages and snacks. Passengers flying into London Heathrow in first or business class, as well as Executive Platinum members of American’s AAdvantage frequent flyer program, are eligible to use the lounge as are British Airways passengers traveling in first and Club World and Gold Executive Club members of the airline’s frequent flyer program who are arriving in T3.

The lounge will close Monday, February 29 and will reopen later this summer.

The renovation will result in new private shower suites, dressing areas, and enhanced food and beverage service.

Eligible AA and BA passengers arriving in Terminal 3 will be able to use the BA Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 5, which offers an Elemis Travel Spa providing a variety of treatments that include a First Class Power Shave for men or a Sky High Brow Shape for women.

To reach T5, passengers need to take the Heathrow Express from the central station serving T2 and T3. Trains run every 15 minutes.
