DSC_0727WestJet announced the beginning of a codeshare agreement with Aeromexico.

Under the agreement, WestJet will be able to place its code on Aeromexico flights to Mexico City from Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Additionally, Aeromexico will offer codeshare flights with WestJet flights from these three cities to multiple Canadian destinations, including Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Halifax, Deer Lake, and St. John’s.

In addition to the new codeshare flights, the two airlines will begin reciprocal ticket sales for travel on all flights including those not included in the codeshare agreement.

NR says this, and other news says more or less same thing: “The new agreement will give Aeromexico’s customers enhanced connecting service via Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver to more than 10 Canadian destinations including Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Halifax, Deer Lake and St. John’s, among others.
The agreement provides WestJet guests new connecting service from WestJet’s extensive Canadian network to Mexico City via Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.”
