Norwegian to Launch San Francisco Oakland-London Gatwick Flights Later This Year

Norwegian Air Shuttle announced plans to introduce service linking London with the San Francisco Bay Area starting May 12, 2016.

The flights will depart London’s Gatwick Airport at 1 p.m. local time and arrive at Oakland International Airport at 4 p.m. Flights will leave Oakland at 7:55 p.m. and arrive in London at 2 p.m. the following day.

The airline will operate the flight three times a week using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The 787 has 32 premium economy recliner seats arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration. Each seat is 19” wide with a seat pitch of 46”. It also has 259 economy seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. Each is 17.2” wide with a seat pitch ranging from 31” to 32”.

London Gatwick will be Oakland International Airport’s 50th non-stop destination. Oakland will be Norwegian’s seventh U.S. destination.
