Dreamliner launch customer All Nippon Airways and celebrated its 100,000 Dreamliner revenue flight Monday along with Boeing. ANA is the first airline to hit the 100,000 mark.

ANA Flight 177, a 787-8 Dreamliner, departed Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 12:23 p.m. local time for Tokyo Narita Airport with a scheduled flight time of nine hours and 15 minutes.

The Tokyo-based airline is the world’s largest operator of Dreamliners with 44 currently in its fleet, including both the 787-8 and the longer 787-9. It has 39 Dreamliners yet on order, including some for the new 787-10.

The 787-10, which has a capacity similar to both the Airbus A350-900 and the Boeing 777-200ER, is expected to make its first flight in 2017.

“The 787 Dreamliner has played an important role especially in forming the backbone of our international fleet,” said Osamu Shinobe, the airline’s CEO, who added that he looks forward to the next 100,000 flights.
