Virgin America Launches San Francisco-Maui Route

Virgin America announced the start of new daily service between San Francisco and Maui, Hawaii. The carrier will operate the flights using Airbus A320 aircraft.

Flights will depart San Francisco International Airport at 7:55 a.m. on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and at 6:05 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, arriving at Kahului Airport on Maui at 11:40 a.m. and 9:50 p.m., respectively. From Maui, flights are scheduled to depart at 1:10 p.m. on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and at 11:20 p.m., arriving back in San Francisco at 8:15 p.m., and 6:25 a.m. the next morning.

Virgin America’s Airbus A320s are equipped with eight seats in first class, 12 seats in main Cabin Select, the carrier’s premium economy lite section, and 129 seats in economy. First-class seats are 21” wide and have a pitch of 55”.

In November, the airline began service from San Francisco to Honolulu.
