United to Offer New Dishes in First and Business, More Meals in Coach on Some Latin American and Caribbean Flights
United Airlines announced new meals and snacks on many of its flights to Latin American and the Caribbean. The airline is also expanding the number of flights on which coach passengers will receive complimentary meals and beverages that include beer and wine.
On flights to Bogota, Columbia and Quito, Ecuador, passengers in economy will receive complimentary meals as well as complimentary wine and beer.
On flights to other Latin American destinations as well as to some Asian destinations, passengers in coach will receive complimentary wine and beer.
Passengers in business- and first-class cabins on flights to the United States from multiple cities in Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela will be offered a choice of dishes including banana pancakes with chorizo sausage and caramelized pineapples for breakfast and braised-beef short ribs in a dark beer demi-glace sauce with sautéed mushrooms, oven-roasted potatoes, celery, and cherry tomatoes for lunch or dinner.
The Chicago-based airline said it also plans to introduce a new seasonal craft beer on its flights as well as in its United Club airport lounges.
