United to Give Away 10 Million Bonus Miles for Charitable Donations

DSC_0295United Airlines announced that it is giving away a total of 10 million bonus miles to members of its MileagePlus loyalty program for making cash donations to charity through December 11.

MilagePlus members can donate to any virtually charity through CrowdRise, an online charitable fundraising platform, and receive up to 1,000 bonus miles.

Members who give between $50 and $99 will earn 250 bonus miles, while those who donate between $100 and $249 will receive 500 bonus miles. Donations of $250 and more will earn members 1,000 bonus points.

Donations can be made to any charity. United is currently partnering with multiple charitable organizations, including Make-A-Wish America, March of Dimes, Fischer House Foundation, Ride 2 Recovery, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
