InterContinental Hotels Group announced a new partnership with Uber.

Under the partnership, riders traveling within the United States who sign up as a new Uber user will receive 2,000 IHG Rewards Club points, as well as $20 off of their first ride.

Riders can take advantage of the new offering by updating the IHG app, and booking a stay at an IHG hotel anywhere in the United States.

IHG is updating the app to include an Uber button, which will allow users to get to or from their hotel destination, which will be automatically input after a stay is booked.

Uber previously announced a partnership with Starwood Hotels and Resorts through which SPG members receive one Starpoint per dollar spent on all Uber rides and bonus Starpoints when using Uber during a stay at a Starwood property, as well as with Hilton, which offers new Uber customers a $20 credit on their first ride as well as a Ride Reminder feature that automatically populates the current hotel’s address in the Uber app for a ride back.
