Hainan Airlines to Launch Service Between LAX and Changsha, China

DSC_0499Hainan Airlines announced that it plans to begin new service between Los Angeles and Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province, China on January 21, 2016.

Flights will depart Los Angeles International Airport at 12:35 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays and arrive at Changsha Huanghua International Airport at 7:20 p.m. the following day. From Changsha, flights are scheduled to depart at 1 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 10:35 a.m. the same day.

Hainan Airlines will operate the service using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft equipped with 36 lie-flat seats in business class and 177 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 22.5” wide and have a pitch of 74”.

Changsha is located in south-central China. The city has a population of over seven million people and is known for its rare collection of excavated Western Han dynasty tombs, the Mawangdui.

Earlier this month, the carrier began service linking Xi’an, China with Rome.
