Hainan Airlines Begins Xi’an-Rome Flights

DSC_0517Hainan Airlines announced the launch of new twice-weekly service between Xi’an, China and Rome, Italy. The carrier will operate the route using Airbus A330 aircraft.

Flights will depart Xi’an Xianyang International Airport at 1 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays and arrive at Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport at 5:55 a.m. From Rome, flights are scheduled to depart at 12:35 p.m. and arrive in Xi’an at 6 a.m. the next day.

The airline’s Airbus A330s are equipped with 36 lie-flat seats in business class and 186 seats in economy. Business-class seats are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 74”.

Hainan will operate the service twice a week through March 27 of next year, at which point it will add a third weekly flight.
