DSC_4940Delta Air Lines announced it will offer a variety of new dishes on domestic first-class flights.

The new menus, which will include a wider assortment of items, will include pan-seared lemongrass chicken on a bed of romaine lettuce; soba noodles; sugar snap peas topped with miso ginger dressing; and crab cakes with Carolina rice and succotash. Delta will rotate the meal service with increased frequency to lessen the likelihood of passengers receiving the same meal too often.

The Atlanta-based airline will offer the refreshed menus on domestic flights between 900 and 1,499 miles (1,448 to 2,412 kilometers)

Many of the sandwiches and cold salads are being replaced with more interesting items including a grilled shrimp and orzo salad, a cilantro pesto chicken fajita, and mojo chicken and quinoa salad.

Earlier this year, Delta updated the contents of its snack basket and now includes regionally sourced and as well as healthier options such as Nourish Snacks, which are packed with antioxidants.
