Alaska Airlines Launches 2 New Routes From Los Angeles to Costa Rica

Flights Are Carrier’s First to New International Destinations Since 1991

DSC_0684-EDAlaska Airlines announced the beginning of service between Los Angeles and both San Jose and Liberia, Costa Rica. The flights are the first international routes that the airline has launched since 1991, when the carrier began service to Magadan, Russia.

Flights to San Jose will depart Los Angeles International Airport at 8:35 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and will arrive at 3:30 p.m. From San Jose, flights will depart at 4:30 p.m. on the same days as the outbound flight, and arrive in Los Angeles at 10:00 p.m.

Los Angeles-Liberia flights are scheduled to depart at 8:40 a.m. and arrive in Liberia at 4:25 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with return flights departing at 5:25 p.m. and arriving in Los Angeles at 9:40 p.m.

Alaska Airlines will operate the new routes using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, equipped with 16 seats in first class and 144 seats in economy. First-class seats are 21” wide, with a pitch of 36″.
