Alaska Airlines Begins Seattle-Charleston Route

DSC_0333Alaska Airlines announced the start of new service to Charleston, South Carolina from its hub at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The carrier will operate the route four days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flights will depart Seattle at 8:25 a.m. and arrive at Charleston International Airport at 4:54 p.m. From Charleston, flights are scheduled to depart at 5:55 p.m. and arrive back in Seattle at 9:10 p.m.

Alaska will operate the service using Boeing 737-900 aircraft. The planes are equipped with 16 seats in first class and 165 seats in economy class. First-class seats are 21” wide, and have a pitch of 36”.

Charleston is the seventh city that Alaska has added this year. Last month, the carrier began service between Seattle and Raleigh, North Carolina.
