WestJet to Add Flights to New St John’s-Orlando Service

DSC_0727WestJet announced that it plans to increase service on its upcoming route between St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada and Orlando, Florida next January. The carrier will begin Saturday flights between the two cities on October 31, and will add a Wednesday flight on January 13, 2016.

The additional flights will depart St. John’s 3:15 p.m. and arrive in Orlando at 7:15 p.m. From Orlando, the flights will depart at 8:30 a.m. and arrive in St. John’s at 2:16 p.m.

The carrier will operate the new flights using Boeing 737-700 aircraft, equipped with 18 seats in economy plus and 118 seats in economy. Economy plus-seats are 17” wide, with a pitch of 36” to 40”.

WestJet offers approximately 30 flights a week from St. John’s international Airport during the winter. The carrier also operates 43 flights a week to Orlando during peak winter months.
