United to Link San Francisco with Tel Aviv
United Airlines announced that it will offer service from San Francisco to Tel Aviv on March 30 next year. The carrier will operate the route three times a week, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Flights will depart San Francisco International Airport at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv at 8:10 p.m. the next day. From Tel Aviv, flights will depart at 12:55 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in San Francisco at 6:00 a.m. the same day.
United’s 787-9s are equipped with 48 lie-flat seats in business class, 88 seats in economy plus, and 116 seats in economy. First-class seats are 22” wide, and have a bed length of 78”.
The new service will be in addition to the carrier’s current Newark-Tel Aviv route.
