Southwest Begins New Flights to Mexico, Costa Rica from Houston Hobby

DSC_0819Southwest Airlines announced the launch of new international service from Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport to Mexico and Costa Rica on Thursday.

The flights come following the completion of the airport’s new international concourse and Federal Inspection Station.

The announcements include twice-daily service to Cancun, Mexico, as well daily service to Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos.  The airline also launched daily service to San Jose, Costa Rica.

Southwest will operate the flights using Boeing 737 aircraft.

In addition to the flights that started Thursdays, the airline is scheduled to begin new service to Liberia, Costa Rica and Montego Bay, Jamaica on November 1.
