DSC_0277Eva Air announced plans to order as many as 24 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, as well as two additional 777-300ERs. The order, when finalized, will be worth over $8 billion at list prices.

The 787-10 Dreamliner was launched at the Paris Air Show in June 2013. So far, five airlines placed a total of 102 orders for the aircraft, cumulatively valued at $30 billion.

The 787-10 will have a range of 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 kilometers), and will be able to seat up to 330 passengers. Boeing says it will be 25%-30% more efficient that other similarly-sized airliners.

Eva Airways currently operates over 37 Boeing aircraft in its fleet, 21 of which are 777-300ERs.
