Hilton announced the opening of a new DoubleTree by Hilton property in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Thursday. Located just two miles (three kilometers) from Wake Forest University, the DoubleTree by Hilton Winston Salem – University was previously the independently-owned University Hotel and Conference Center, and underwent a $6 million renovation to become a Hilton hotel.

The six-story property has 150 guestrooms, each with 42” HD TVs and minifridges. Complimentary Wi-Fi Internet is also available throughout the entire hotel.

The property offers an outdoor pool and deck with a fire pit, as well as a 24-hour fitness center. The hotel’s Providence Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and serves local and regional cuisine.

Approximately 6,000 square feet (557 square meters) of meeting and event space is located on the premises, including a 3,105-square-foot (288-square-meter) ballroom. In addition, the hotel offers a 24-hour business center.

In celebration of the opening, Hilton is offering members of its HHonors loyalty program double points for stays completed through March 31 of next year.
